Acoustic Analysis
Acoustic Analysis
Understanding the acoustical quality of a space is an important design consideration. Geometry, material selection and intended use will all affect the acoustics in a space.
Using sophisticated software we can help to visualize how sound will react within a specific design. A sound is transmitted at a specific dB level and the resulting sound rays are then able to be visualized. This allows designers to see how the space is reacting in terms of perceived sound quality.
The sound rays are colour coded to depict the perceived acoustic effect. Green for Direct, yellow for Useful, orange for Border, red for Echoes, cyan for Reverb, and blue for Masked sound.

Space Acoustic Analysis
The video analysis above shows us how sound waves behave within a particular design. Understanding where sound is most likely to originate and how it will reverberate throughout the space allows the design team to improve building occupant’s comfort and productivity.
